Job Summary:

Responsible for executing testing procedures to ensure software meets established quality standards. Prepares data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows. Isolates, reproduces, tracks defects, and verifies fixes. Documents testing according to required procedures. Familiar with software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. May assist with the creation of new testing scripts and plans. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst I work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes quality improvement testing and activities across multiple systems and environments.

  • Adheres to industry quality and safety standards to ensure consistent test procedures.

  • Ensures products meet customer requirements.

  • Documents step-by-step test cases based on the software requirements elicited by product owners and software developers.

  • Identifies, logs, and tracks defects.

  • Provides reporting on defect tracking and escalates technical issues as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or 4 years of experience in software testing.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.

  • Clear and accurate communication both written and verbal.

  • Handles interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically.

  • Works as a team with other QA professionals, developers, and members of other departments.

  •  Understands and appreciates goals and needs of other stakeholders to help solve problems and find solutions that work for everyone.

  • Manages responsibilities productively and effectively to complete work within reasonable deadlines.
