The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector has an opening for an IT/Cybersecurity Intern.  This individual will work as a member of a Program team supporting an extensive digital modernization effort critical to the DoD. This will include a variety of IT/cyber activities related to the common use of information technology systems, functions, and elements.  The role will be critical to the operation and automation of end user capabilities, analysis and support of migration recommendations. 

Possess a desire to want to learn more about:

  • Operating Systems and Networking
  • Cloud and Edge platforms
  • Emerging information security threats and software vulnerabilities
  • Security tools, techniques, and methodologies

Primary Responsibilities:

Plan and evaluate processes and procedures to support the following tasks:

  • Assist with development of documentation.
  • Research, create and test rules within various system tools.
  • Perform monitoring and analysis of security events of interest.
  • Support escalation to and work closely with Sr. analysts and engineers as required.
  • Assist with the identification, creation and refinement of the team’s processes and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled, in good standing within an accredited college pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be self-driven and highly motivated.
  • Have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly on the job
  • Outstanding work ethic and professionalism
  • A demonstrated goal oriented and results driven personality.
  • Ability to deal with change and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00
