ECM Customer Service Agent

The main purpose of this position is to manage, solicit, assist and maintain freight from our established customer base. This includes requests for freight and all customer service functions needed to ensure customer satisfaction, high production levels, on-time delivery, and minimal deadhead.

Essential Duties:

  • Receive and manage customer freight requests via telephone, e-mail, and E.D.I.
  • Manage freight bookings for the network with awareness of commitments and capacity.
  • Manage customer On-time service levels in order to meet customer needs.
  • Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time service.
  • Manage trailer pools at customer locations.
  • Confirm that all accessorial charges are approved by customer for payment and billed back accordingly

Minimum Requirements

  • Skill in operating a P.C., including use of internet and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Two to three years customer service experience preferred.
  • Two to three years transportation experience preferred.
