$5,000 sign-on bonus available for a limited time
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, and complex repairs as it pertains trailer maintenance, air brake systems and FHWA Inspections
May troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair specialized trailer equipment such as refrigerated units
May onboard and mentor new Tractor Technician trainees; act as team lead to include beginning or ending shifts
Participate in Original Equipment Manufacture training for OE repairs
Troubleshoot tractor issues, develop innovative solutions, and work independently under minimal direction
Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures
Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers at all times
Complete secondary maintenance on escalated repairs
Accurately perform the most difficult repairs to company and manufacturer's specifications, complete work orders, and exceed requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines
Shift Schedule: Shifts may vary based upon location and business needs.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age with 3 or more years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalent
AND Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences
Must be DOT certified in FHWA inspections and air brakes
Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through our toolbox purchase program
Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3 or more years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalent
EPA section 608 certification and Refrigeration License
Advanced welding skills (MIG and stick)
Knowledge of ABS systems
Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proficient computer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer, including Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to use time and resources efficiently and effectively
Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds)
Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)
The expected starting pay range for this position is between $23.10 - $34.65

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
