What you will be doing:
The Senior Design Lead is a hands-on, strategic individual contributor driving the end-to-end user experience across complex, multi-product ecosystems. They lead design for all platforms, shaping product vision, maintaining scalable design systems, and delivering high-quality, accessible, and cohesive UX/UI solutions. Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Research, they solve ambiguous problems, mentor designers, and use data-driven insights to elevate design quality and inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibility #1 – Experience Strategy & Design Leadership: 30%
Define and evolve the end-to-end user experience across multiple products and platforms, setting a clear vision and strategic direction for design. Influence product roadmaps, priorities, and decision-making by advocating for user-centered design and ensuring alignment with business goals. Translate complex, ambiguous problems into actionable design opportunities that enhance cohesion and usability across the ecosystem.
Responsibility #2 – Hands-On Design Execution:30%
Lead the creation of high-quality UX, UI, and interaction designs for complex features and workflows. Ensure designs are accessible, usable, visually consistent, and scalable across platforms, leveraging best practices in interaction design and visual hierarchy. Prototype, iterate, and validate solutions using research, data, and user feedback to deliver refined, production-ready experiences.
Responsibility #3 – Design System & Cross-Functional Collaboration:20%
Maintain and scale the design system, reusable components, patterns, and standards in partnership with Engineering. Work closely with Product, Research, and Engineering teams to define scope, align on execution, and ensure that design decisions are technically feasible and strategically aligned. Promote consistent, high-quality design across all products while supporting cross-functional teams in implementing and using the system effectively.
Responsibility #4 – Mentorship & Design Quality Elevation: 20%
Mentor and coach other designers, providing guidance, feedback, and knowledge-sharing to elevate team skills and performance. Advocate for design excellence by modeling best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and championing usability, accessibility, and visual quality in every product. Help build a strong design culture that empowers the team to produce impactful, user-centered solutions at scale.
