As a Referral Coordinator I, you will be responsible for coordinating department project activities, developing department resource databases to facilitate management of various project activities and coordinating department scheduling of individuals, resources and activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates administrative activities for the department (e.g., coordinating resources, timing, and activities). Manages department schedule for key activities. Ensures that administrative support is provided as needed. Participates on project teams and builds competency around specific department tools and methods for organizational performance improvement. Maintains data, develops database and completes analysis. Provides reports; prepares charts, presentations or summary data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum two years experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree may offset experience requirement
  • Experience coordinating multiple functions, managing data and leading mid-size projects preferred.
  • Scheduling and referral intake experience is preferred.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office and laboratory equipment
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
