This is a fully onsite role based at our Global Central Laboratory in Highland Heights, KY. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position, and any relocation costs will be the responsibility of the candidate.

1st Shift: Monday-Friday from 9AM - 5:30PM ET with a rotational Saturday

The Medical Technologist II and/or Scientist II performs analysis and evaluates individual and related laboratory data, recognizes patterns or trends that suggest significance of results and determines the level of clinical significance. Evaluates individual and related laboratory data to recognize patterns or trends that suggest significance of results. Assists in authoring and modifying SOPs (standard operating procedures).
What You'll Do:
Support the Flow Cytometry group
Prepare and process whole blood, bone marrow, and other biological specimens for analysis, including staining, lysing, and washing steps.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot flow cytometers (e.g., BD FACSLyric, FACSCanto) and associated software systems.
Conduct daily instrument setup, calibration, and quality control; review QC data to ensure assay reliability and compliance.
Analyze and interpret flow cytometry data, including gating strategies and population identification.
Review and verify test results for accuracy, completeness, and consistency prior to release.
Follow and enforce GLP/GCLP, CLIA, CAP, and/or GCP regulatory requirements and laboratory SOPs.
Document all testing activities, deviations, and corrective actions in LIMS or laboratory documentation systems.
Assist with method validation, assay development, and performance qualification of new panels or instruments.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to instrumentation, reagents, or sample quality, escalating as needed.
Maintain inventory of reagents, controls, and consumables; ensure proper storage and lot tracking.
Participate in proficiency testing and competency assessments.
Support audits and inspections by preparing documentation and addressing findings.
Train and mentor junior technologists or new staff on procedures and best practices.
Ensure proper biosafety and waste disposal practices are followed at all times.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
Years of experience refers to typical years of related experience needed to gain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
