About the Role
7 East is a busy 24 bed Surgical Ward where the multidisciplinary team specialises in the diagnosis, intervention and treatment of patients with Hepatobiliary, Upper Gastrointestinal, Breast, Endocrine and General surgical conditions. The established nursing team are seeking a dynamic and passionate clinician to complement their dedicated and hard-working team. Transition into the role will be supported, and ongoing education and general and specialised competency encouraged.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the care of 4 surgical patients on day duty and 8 on night duty, where duties include;
admissions and discharges,
physical assessment,
patient and family education,
communicating for safety,
support of junior nurses and undergraduates,
competence in multiple nursing procedures relevant to the specialty.
Classifications for this position will range from:
YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 pro rata per annum) OR IB68 - IB72 ($66,856 - $71,141 pro rata per annum) dependent on qualification.
