The Drupal Developer will manage the webpage creation, backend development tasks, UX/UI design, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, regular content updates, and maintaining technical SEO hygiene Drupal CMS.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Support the marketing department's initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as email, event, social media, or content marketing
Create and manage purchase orders on behalf of the marketing team.
Develop custom Drupal modules and themes, create custom modules and themes to meet project-specific requirements.
Assist in website page creation, build and design web pages, ensuring responsive design and optimal user experience across devices.
Apply UX/UI Design principles, enhance usability and accessibility on Drupal-based websites through effective design practices.
Implement and maintain third-party integrations, integrate and maintain third-party services and APIs with Drupal sites, optimize website performance and conduct routine maintenance
Enhance website performance and perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation.
Technical SEO hygiene, maintain and implement technical SEO best practices for website crawlability, indexation, and structure.
Troubleshoot and debug Issues, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues on Drupal sites.
Perform database migrations and manage backups, execute database migrations, manage backups, and optimize database queries for performance.
Enhance security, ensure Drupal core and contributed modules are up-to-date with security patches and maintain website security standards.
Manage content configuration, configure and customize content types, fields, and views to manage content effectively.
Oversee version control and deployment, manage codebase changes, branching strategies, and ensure smooth deployment processes across environments.
Implement backup strategies and disaster recovery plans, develop and implement strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Collaborate with stakeholders, engage with stakeholders to understand website requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Utilize Google analytics and Google tag manager, track, analyze, and report on website metrics and user behavior using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
Make regular content updates, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of website content through regular updates.
Set up analytics and tracking, configure Google Analytics or other tracking tools through Google Tag Manager, including setting up custom events, goals, and reports.
Stay updated on industry trends, keep up with Drupal best practices, security standards, and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
All other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications (Minimum Required):
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Drupal certification (e.g., Acquia Certified Drupal Developer) a plus.
Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
Proven experience as a Drupal Developer with a strong portfolio of Drupal-based projects.
Proficiency in Drupal site building, module development, and theming.
Solid understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
Experience with modern UX/UI design principles and methodologies.
Familiarity with responsive and mobile design techniques.
Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for website tracking and optimization.
Ability to make regular content updates on websites using Drupal CMS.
Knowledge of technical SEO principles and best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience (Minimum Required):
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Drupal development

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment.
Should be okay working in 2nd shift hours (2 - 11 PM)
Occasional drives to site locations, occasional domestic travel.
