The Platform Engineer will be a part of Levi’s Enterprise Platform Services organization which engineers, implements, and manages the technology required to run a cloud-based technology across the enterprise. 
 

This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about applying cloud technologies and DevOps practices to solving business problems in a unique and innovative way and to help accelerate our digital business transformation. 

 

As a member of the Enterprise Platform Services organization, you will be part of an established but growing DevOps team that is focused on designing and delivering cloud solutions to support business requirements. 

 

About the Job 

  • Ensure 24/7 availability of Levi’s Enterprise Cloud Services by monitoring and managing Azure IaaS, SaaS, & PaaS 

  • Define and maintain comprehensive monitoring strategies for infrastructure health and capacity using tools such as Azure Monitor, SCOM, and SolarWinds 

  • Lead incident response for infrastructure-related outages and critical alerts  

  • Drive root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions to prevent recurrence  

  • Champion automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency across the team  

  • Analyze performance trends and proactively implement improvements to optimize resource utilization and reliability 

  • Ensure infrastructure security through OS hardening, identity management, and compliance with organizational standards 

  • Collaborate with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and enforce governance policies across cloud environments 

  • Lead capacity planning efforts and manage lifecycle activities for infrastructure resources, including refresh planning and scalability strategies 

  • Oversee cost management practices for cloud infrastructure, including tagging, reporting, and optimization strategies 

 

About You 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technology field 

  • Technical Certifications highly preferred:   Azure Administrator Associate 

  • Public Cloud Certification(s) 

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure operations, with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Azure cloud environments at scale 

  • Strong background in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation, with proficiency in two or more toolsets such as: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, GitHub/GitHub Actions, Artifactory 

  • Experience in monitoring using tools such as Azure Monitor, SCOM, SolarWinds, and log analytics platforms 

  • Familiarity with capacity planning, lifecycle management, and cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure 

  • Experience collaborating with business process owners and cross-functional teams to align infrastructure solutions with organizational goals 

  • Strong analytical skills with basic knowledge of querying and organizing data for reporting and trend analysis 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement 

  • Highly motivated, results-oriented self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn emerging technologies 

  • Ability to prepare and present findings, recommendations, reports, and technical documentation to all levels of leadership 

  • Expertise in developing methodologies to measure process performance against established metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives 

  • Fundamental knowledge of managing a multi-cloud environment, with a strong focus on Azure and familiarity with GCP 

  • DevOps Product set including: Ansible, Github Actions and Terraform 

  • Solid grasp of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and ITIL practices for operational excellence 

  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems  

  • Self-managed and motivated individual with strong communication skills 

  • Ability to perform basic project manager functions 

  • Must have experience with creating reports with Excel Pivot tables and spreadsheets, Power BI a plus. 

  • Business professional who can communicate with nontechnical stakeholders   

  • Must be willing to accept advice from other team members and stakeholders 

  • Must be flexible to change and understand that the end-result is the required aim 

  • Must be able to acquire new skills rapidly and leverage them to implement automation 

  • Must possess the ability to manage cross function team initiatives
