About The Role
The Assoc Dir & Actuary Business Planning and Legal Entity Forecasting will be responsible for analyzing and presenting financial projections on a GAAP and Statutory basis, as appropriate as well as for sensitivities, scenario-based planning, and other strategic activities for Bermuda based CICB legal entity. This position will work closely with segment Corporate FP&A, Bermuda finance, Segment CFOs, Actuarial, Investment Management and Capital Management teams to develop a comprehensive analytical package for financial results. This role will also play a key role in re-engineering and improving our forecasting capabilities.
Responsibilities
Manage planning and forecasting processes for Bermuda captive which involves modeling economic balance sheet, solvency requirements and local statutory financial statements.
Produce standardized analytical package for Corebridge leadership communicating financial performance under US GAAP and local Statutory lenses.
Provide recurring statutory financial forecasts to meet rating agency, regulatory and capital planning needs.
Model financial impacts for strategic transactions and communicate the results to senior leadership and assist in decision making process.
Model CICB financial results sensitivities to macro-economic factors (interest rate, equity and spread) and communicate the results.
Skills and Qualifications
Prefer an Actuary with an ASA or FSA, but open for the right candidate with either CPA or CFA credentials combined with a finance background in the insurance sector.
Position requires: an analytical individual; strategic mindset; robust attention to detail and accuracy; and strong knowledge of insurance finance and accounting
A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred; professional certification (e.g. ASA or FSA) is preferred.
5 + years financial planning/forecasting experience in insurance industry required
Broad knowledge of U.S. GAAP, US statutory, Bermuda statutory, accounting, and capital rules
Experience working in a large, complex, and dynamic organization
Comfortable performing effectively in fast-paced environment that requires problem solving
Strong collaboration and communication skills

Work Location
If the position is based in one of Corebridge Financials' hub offices which are Houston, TX, Jersey City, NJ. or Woodland Hills, CA office the role is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely. However, we are open to considering full remote candidates outside of these areas.
