JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting Manager and Finance team with day‑to‑day accounting activities. This position provides practical, hands‑on experience in an office environment and helps build a strong foundation in accounting basics. The intern will assist with data entry, reconciliations, and documentation of internal processes while learning how financial information is recorded and reported.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with data entry and posting of routine journal entries.
  • Help with account reconciliations such as bank accounts, accounts payable, and expense accounts.
  • Support the documentation of accounting procedures and help maintain organized files and records.
  • Prepare and verify simple financial reports under supervision.
  • Assist with processing supplier invoices and employee expenses.
  • Help gather and organize supporting documents for month‑end and year‑end reporting.
  • Participate in basic process reviews and suggest small improvements to workflow.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Accounting and Finance team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects as needed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a college or university program in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Basic understanding of accounting terms and concepts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel/Word and other standard computer applications
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and take direction in a team environment.

During the internship, the Accounting Intern will:
