Job Description:

The Senior Associate, National Audio Investment executes national audio buying across network terrestrial radio, podcasting, and digital audio for assigned client account(s). Reporting to the Director and Associate Director, you will ensure campaigns are accurately planned, activated, and stewarded against client goals while contributing marketplace insights and recommendations that shape broader audio strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution & Stewardship

  • Issue RFPs, evaluate vendor proposals using ACT1 research, and build tactical schedules and recommendations aligned to client KPIs
  • Execute and optimize national audio buys in MediaOcean across terrestrial radio, podcasting, and digital audio
  • Negotiate rates, added value, bonus weight, and makegoods
  • Issue insertion orders (IOs) and maintain campaign buysheets
  • Track pacing, delivery, makegoods, and campaign optimizations
  • Manage added value and makegood trackers
  • Maintain accurate campaign documentation and budget summaries
  • Reconcile billing discrepancies with vendors and Finance
  • Deliver post-buy analyses and performance reporting

Relationship Management & Communication

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for vendor partners, developing and maintaining strong relationships
  • Prepare client updates on campaign status, pacing, optimizations, and performance
  • Partner with Planning, Strategy, Creative, Traffic, and Finance teams for seamless execution
  • Develop client-facing and internal materials, including recaps, vendor evaluations, and performance summaries

Marketplace & Strategic Insights

  • Monitor audio marketplace trends, partner offerings, and changes in platform capabilities
  • Participate in vendor meetings and industry presentations to deepen expertise and surface actionable learnings
  • Translate performance data and marketplace insights into future-planning recommendations
  • Support special client projects, such as marketplace updates, category POVs, and upfront materials

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in media buying and negotiation; audio buying experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of media math concepts and campaign delivery metrics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, accountable, and able to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Experience with MediaOcean and ACT1 preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

The annual salary range for this position is $51,000-$83,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
