Introduction to the job
- This Group Leader role is to manage the Process Preparation and Improvement group of Engineering, supervising 2 Team Leaders.
- Major Competence Scope: Mechatronics, Mechanical Layout, Electrical Layout, Software, Flow & Temperature, Contamination.
- A Team will contain 10 – 15 competence Production Engineers, which makes the scope of Group Leader around 20 – 30 people.
- In addition to 2 Team leaders, 2 Technical leaders will directly report to this Group Leader.
- The job scope mainly focus on the Engineering activities of Linkou Factory, such as driving efficiency improvement, solving urgent escalations, managing impactful technical projects, providing technical input for critical tasks etc.
Role and responsibilities
- Determine and drive the long-term vision and mission for the organization under his or her supervision.
- Develop employees, technical leaders and team leaders to grow in leadership capability, hard competence and soft skills.
- Participate in cross-sector communication, specifically represents Linkou Factory in Engineering activity related meetings, such as driving efficiency improvement, taking over New Products to High Volume, Engineering Change etc.
- Influence key stakeholders and provide prompt supports in decision-making process.
- Responsible for the planning and the execution of the tooling Capital budget.
- Manage critical tasks and projects, such as content and volume expansion, breakthrough of performance bottleneck or managing urgent escalations.
- Expect to deliver presentations to senior leaders of ASML to bridge discussions and the required decisions.
Education and experience
- Education : Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of leadership and management related experience.
Skills
- English fluency is required.
- Familiar with Problem Solving skills, such as Global 8 Discipline or relevant processes, excellent analytical skills by engineering facts and evidence.
- Experiences in large-scale cross-sector Project management and New Product Introduction.
- Equipped with strong interpersonal skills and resourceful attitude.
- Able to provide business insights and take initiative accordingly.
- Mature presentation skills, including concise message delivery in conference, elevator-pitch style communication, public speech and slides preparation.
- Think beyond the known boundaries, take calculated risks to drive for success.
Other information
- Work Pattern: Normal shifts, 8 am to 5pm or 9 am to 6pm.
- Occasional business trip is required, but the annual travel days are less than 10%.
- Conference calls out of working hours are expected to occur when there is a business need.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
