Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Product Analytics will

  • lead the strategy, development, and delivery of data‑driven insights to improve product performance and elevate customer experiences. This role deepens organizational understanding of market dynamics and business drivers, directly supporting key KPIs.
  • Unify and streamline reporting and insights across analytics teams, ensuring the business receives timely, clear, and actionable information to guide decision‑making.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, proactively recommending analytical approaches and solutions to accelerate growth and performance.
  • Take ownership of reporting, business casing, and performance measurement to monitor product health and guide strategic decision‑making.
  • build and manage dashboards, performance reports, and measurement tools that provide insight into product strategies, tactics, and channel performance. They will synthesize data into actionable recommendations and present insights to business partners to inform ongoing optimization.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional projects involving Finance, Treasury, CRM, Marketing attribution, cross‑channel reporting, and consumer insights, while evaluating new analytics tools and vendors to enhance measurement capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytics & Insights

  • Provide analytical support for all products, including:
    • Product reporting
    • Ad hoc reporting
    • Business casing
    • Financial and risk analytical support
  • Own, validate, curate, and monitor data associated with all products to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Standardize and operationalize product reporting and analysis
  • Develop visualization and self-service tools to empower stakeholders with actionable insights.
  • Contribute additional data, analytics, and insights for:
    • Quarterly analyst reporting and calls
    • Treasury and financial reporting data
  • Proactively identify opportunities in the data to drive exceptional client experiences for LOB and surface areas which detract from the overall experience with recommendations to solve
  • Employ a customer-first mindset in the establishment of all new data and analytics processes ensuring great customer experience

Strategic Leadership

  • Execute the analytics roadmap for Personal and Business Banking products, aligning with organizational goals.
  • Champion a data-driven culture across product teams and business units.
  • Lead Competitive benchmark studies and reporting from defining the data, managing external vendor, completing the benchmark study and communicating to business partners the results and insights arising from the study. 
  • Develop frameworks for measuring product performance, customer engagement, and profitability.
  • Leverage advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and machine learning to identify growth opportunities.

Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Management, Technology, Marketing, and Risk teams to deliver actionable insights.
  • Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership to inform strategic decisions.

Team Management

  • Build and lead a high-performing analytics team, fostering continuous learning and innovation.
  • Establish and set goals for the team and provide
  • Mentor and develop talent to ensure scalability and excellence in analytics capabilities.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements in all analytics activities.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in analytics, with at least 2 years in leadership roles within financial services.
    • Proven track record of influencing product strategy through data-driven insights.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in SAS, SQL, Python/R, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and business software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
    • Strong project management skills and effective execution skills to ensure successful delivery/implementation of special initiatives, processes and policies.
    • Strong understanding of financial products, customer behavior, and regulatory environment.

  • Ad Hoc Request Turnaround:
    • Complete 90% of ad hoc analytics requests within agreed SLA (e.g., 3–5 business days).
  • Data Quality & Governance:
    • Maintain >98% data accuracy across curated product datasets.
  • Self-Service Adoption:
    • Achieve a 30% increase in stakeholder usage of self-service analytics tools within 12 months.
  • Business Impact:
    • Demonstrate measurable contribution to product profitability or cost optimization (e.g., $X million savings or revenue uplift annually).
  • Competitive Benchmarking:
    • Deliver quarterly competitive insights reports with actionable recommendations adopted by product teams.
  • Team Development:
    • Maintain >90% employee engagement score and reduce attrition below industry benchmark.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction:
    • Achieve >85% satisfaction rating from internal stakeholders on analytics support and insights.

Salary:

$86,000.00 - $160,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
