We are seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team in support of a large appliance manufacturing campus with multiple product lines. In this highly visible role, you will lead capital equipment projects focused on advanced conveyance and sortation systems that connect multiple manufacturing facilities to a centralized warehouse.Lead the specification, design, development, and implementation of advanced conveyance and sortation systems.
Drive seamless integration of material flow systems by partnering with operations, maintenance, logistics, IT, and engineering teams.
Analyze existing systems and processes to identify performance gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Partner with simulation teams to model current and future-state systems, evaluating physical and logical changes.
Own project execution—including scope, schedule, budget, and vendor management—for complex capital projects.
Evaluate and select automation technologies and suppliers to meet operational and business requirements.
Ensure all solutions meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Monitor system performance post-implementation and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay current on industry trends, automation technologies, and best practices to drive innovation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering, with hands-on exposure to conveyance and sortation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven success leading large-scale capital or automation projects in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of material handling and automation technologies; PLC familiarity is a plus.
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
Solid project management experience, including budget and schedule ownership.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering tools; MS Project (or equivalent) preferred.
Knowledge of industrial safety and manufacturing standards.
Experience supporting Fortune 500 manufacturing operations.
Prior involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
Willingness to travel approximately 25% as project needs required.
