POSITION SUMMARY

Newrez is looking to hire a Financial Products Content Lead and Subject Matter Expert to elevate the credibility, authority, and trustworthiness of our content.  This role is responsible for producing and reviewing mortgage and home equity content that is accurate, compliant, and authoritative enough to be published under a named author profile for Newrez.com specifically.

DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Write and review long-form educational content related to mortgage and home equity products.
  • Serve as named author or co-author on high-value content assets.
  • Ensure all content reflects accurate financial product knowledge and borrower realities.
  • Collaborate with SEO Manager to align content with search intent and ranking opportunities.
  • Work with compliance and legal teams to ensure content meets regulatory standards.
  • Update existing content to reflect market changes, product updates, and new guidance.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred.
  • 5-8+ years writing about mortgage, lending, or financial products.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in purchase loans, refinance, HELOCs, and home equity loans.
  • Experience writing content attributed to an author profile.
  • Strong understanding of borrower education and financial decision-making.
  • Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, trustworthy language.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Working on-site at assigned office location.
  • Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership.
  • Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand.
  • Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations.
  • Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time.
  • Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls.
  • Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.

A good faith estimate of the compensation is:

78,800.00 - 135,120.00

Compensation for this position may also include other elements, including medical, financial, various paid time off benefits, and a bonus based on individual and company performance, variable or annual.

 

Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, location, etc.
