Hourly Pay Range:

$37.47 - $58.08 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

• Location: Elmhurst Memorial Hospital

• Full Time, 40 hours weekly

• Hours: 7am to 3:00pm, on-call schedule, rotating weekends, and holidays

What you will need:

• High School Diploma or GED

• A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher

• Prior Nuclear Medicine and PET(Positive Emission Tomography) experience

• IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure,

• At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT (N) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Nuclear Medicine) or (CNMT) (Certified Nuclear Medical Technology) certification.  Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered within six months of start date into position.  Current incumbents have until July 1, 2010, to acquire ARRT (N)  or CNMT certification, and

• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association

What you will do:

Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, according to Radiologist’s directions/protocols, utilizing a variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
