The Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable, is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing Allegro MicroSystems' global Accounts Receivable function. This role involves developing and implementing best-in-class collection strategies, managing customer accounts, optimizing cash application processes, and ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition. The Senior Manager will lead a team, foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute significantly to Allegro's financial health and working capital management.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement the overall strategic goals, objectives, and policies for the Accounts Receivable department.
- Manage the departmental budget, allocate resources effectively, and control expenses.
- Set departmental KPIs and metrics, monitor overall performance, and report results to senior finance leadership.
- Lead initiatives for significant process improvements and automation across the entire AR function.
- Oversee the hiring, training, performance management, and career development for all AR staff members and team leaders.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with AR, such as bad debts and fraud.
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place and maintained within the AR section.
- Manage relationships with external and internal auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
- Engage with senior management, legal, and other key stakeholders on high-level AR matters.
- Analyze AR aging report and data to identify trends, cash receipts forecasts, and provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Stay updated on the industry’s best practices and regulatory changes impacting accounts receivable. Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
What You Will Bring
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
- Masters/CPA preferred
- At least 7-10 years of extensive experience in Accounts Receivable /Finance or Accounting, including 3-5 years in managerial role
- Experience working in Oracle AR Module is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
