The Lead Pharmacist – Inpatient provides clinical, operational, and administrative leadership within Mercy Hospital's 24/7 inpatient pharmacy, helping ensure the safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy services across the organization. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, including medication order verification, IV room oversight, prescription verification, renal dose monitoring, sterile compounding support, and collaboration with the hospital's infusion and oncology services. In addition to operational and decentralized pharmacy coverage as needed, the Lead Pharmacist assists with scheduling, supports clinical operations and workflow optimization, contributes to pharmacy informatics initiatives, and serves as a resource for pharmacists, technicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to promote high-quality, patient-centered care.
A caregiver in this position will work a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00am to 3:30pm and may provide coverage for other shifts as needed. Caregivers participate in an every fourth weekend rotation. No holiday or on-call responsibilities are required.
