Department Overview:

The Strategy and Business Enablement team in TD Wealth Shares Services includes a broad range of functions that provide integrated support across TD Wealth including Direct Investing, Wealth Advice, and TD Asset Management. Functions include strategic planning, productivity, client experience programs, change management, communications and colleague experience, business process management, network and branch real estate strategy. Our dynamic professionals demonstrate their expertise to enable and operate to drive our Wealth strategic priorities.

Job Description:

Reporting to a Senior Manager, Communications Centre of Expertise the Manager, Business Management / Communications leads and manages a medium to large size team of communication professionals who develop and execute communications plans / programs / projects / strategies.

  • Lead a high performing communications team; provide ongoing feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop employee, ensuring the team adheres to enterprise and Business frameworks and methodologies related to overall business management activities, including alignment with TD's risk appetite and expectations for colleagues

  • Oversee the delivery and management of communication programs/projects by supporting in assigning resourcing and managing resource allocation, ensuring established processes are followed

  • Ensure an integrated and aggregated view of all related activities across the communications team, providing escalations, recommendations, and decision support to leadership

  • Evaluate the impact of communications on achieving business results, and ensure communications align with business strategy and TD’s value proposition

  • Present and make recommendations to senior management and executives

  • Support an environment where team freely escalates business challenges and facilitate a culture of appreciation through positive reinforcement of milestones and successes

  • Establish and foster a cohesive team; promote a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourage the team to achieve common goals and objectives

  • Maintain an understanding of TD businesses and products, keep current with key business initiatives/issues/developments within TD, emerging communication strategies, capabilities and/or industry trends to deliver effective communications solutions

Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree

  • 7+ years relevant experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Wealth business as asset

  • Bilingualism in French and English an asset.
