Your Impact and Contribution

As a Senior Platform Engineer - Windows 365, you will own the design, implementation, and management of Windows 365 solutions, ensuring seamless and efficient virtual desktop experiences for users.

You will provide expert advice, and troubleshoot complex technical issues, to ensure the stability, security and continuity of critical desktop applications that support our colleagues and customers.

Ultimately, you will be a key member leading the effective management of our cloud virtual desktop environment, and hosting critical services that are essential to delivering business, service, and functional outcomes.

To achieve this your role responsibilities may include:

  • Provisioning and configuring Cloud PCs, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to integrate Windows 365 with other enterprise applications and services.
  • Optimising resource usage and cost management within the Azure infrastructure.
  • Implementing and maintaining security policies and compliance standards to protect user data and cloud resources.
  • Implementing timely & effective patching solutions to remediate laptop, AVD & mobile device vulnerabilities using Microsoft & Qualys applications through regular weekly and monthly update cycles.                
  • Overseeing the entire lifecycle of OS updates, ensuring compatibility, stability, and security of all user endpoints.
  • Mentoring associate and engineer level team members in best practice engineering and striving for excellent through continuous development and improvement.

What You'll Bring

You will be curious, an open communicator, and a solution driven problem solver. As a Senior Engineer, you will provide support and assistance to team members, and in collaboration with the leadership team, ensure tasks are delivered in line with best practice engineering and our Group strategic objectives.

We’re therefore seeking candidates who demonstrate;

  • Effective communication, interpersonal and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Strong technical competence, including a deep knowledge of Windows OS administration.
  • Expertise at troubleshooting in cloud environments, with SME competence in Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, MECM, and modern workplace tools.
  • Proficiency in Azure infrastructure, including networking, security, and resource management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Technology stack; Active Directory, Hyper-V, MS Defender, Entra ID (Azure), Office 365, MS Windows, Windows SOE.
  • Competence in scripting for automation to streamline operations and management (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a time sensitive, pressurised environment.
