Work pattern: 5 over 6 Summary of Role

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Coatbridge. The role is focused on ensuring the safe, efficient and accurate delivery of goods to customers, while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with all transport regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries and collections safely, efficiently and on time
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any faults, breakdowns or delays
• Adhere to all road safety regulations, tachograph laws and required rest periods
• Ensure all deliveries match drop sheets and report any discrepancies
• Maintain the cleanliness, fuel levels and overall condition of the vehicle
• Ensure vehicle security and verify loads, including trailer seal checks
• Handle damages, returns and collections in line with company procedures
• Maintain strong communication with the transport team and deliver excellent customer service

Shift and Location

• Monday to Saturday working pattern
• Based in Coatbridge
• Multi-drop delivery work

Skills and Knowledge

• Must hold in-date HGV class 1 Licence and Tachograph 
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build positive relationships
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Proactive and able to take initiative
• Strong awareness of safety in the workplace
• Good numeracy and literacy skills

Desirable

• Previous multi-drop driving experience
• Route planning experience
