ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS ORGANIZATION PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Business Partnership

  • As Technology Business Partner, empower the Legal and Compliance organizations to fulfill the Fresenius Mission, and their top priorities.
  • Advocate for the needs of the Legal and Compliance organizations in the fulfillment of their technology strategies and specific initiatives.  Facilitate the completion of all FME requirements to move initiatives forward, e.g. Enterprise Architecture, Data Privacy, Information Security, Workers Council, etc.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance leadership in developing and gaining approval for business cases for technology initiatives that are worthy of pursuit.
  • Deliver all technology programs, projects, and initiatives, on-time, on-budget, with the agreed upon scope, defect free, and with high quality.

Customer Satisfaction / Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor Legal and Compliance customer satisfaction, both formally and informally, with the products, services, and solutions we provide.  Strive for continuous improvement over time.
  • Development of Service Level Agreements and Performance Metrics for the products, services, and solutions we provide to our Legal and Compliance customers, e.g. Ticket time to Resolution, On-schedule Releases to Production, etc.
  • Continual evaluation of the products, services, and solutions we provide to ensure they are optimal for fulfillment of our Legal and Compliance customers’ needs and pursue improvements where applicable.  Evaluation should consider licensing and support costs, ease of use, simplicity of architecture, fulfillment of security/audit requirements, etc.
  • Closely monitor and manage the performance of our external support vendors for Legal and Compliance.   Development of Service Level Agreements and Performance Metrics for the products, services, and solutions they provide to us and manage cases where agreed to performance has not been met.

Agile Project Management

  • Advocate for the adoption of Agile methodologies in the implementation and enhancement of our products, services, and solutions.
  • Ensure that all team members receive the required training and information to operate in an Agile framework.

Financial Management

  • Continually monitor the costs incurred by our organization and identify opportunities to save costs without sacrificing customer satisfaction with our products, services, and solutions.
  • Ensure that evaluations of additions or enhancements to our products, services, and solutions include cost as a key criterion.

Audit / Compliance & Governance

  • Support for the fulfillment of all audit and compliance requirements, including Software Development Life Cycle, SOX, Global Data Privacy, Information Security, Internal Controls, Workers Council, DTI Portfolio Management, etc.
  • Support all Legal, Compliance and DTI Enterprise Services governance processes including Intake Process, Change Request Process, Initiative Review & Approval Process, Release Management Process, etc.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ROLE:

  • Product owner for the Legal and Compliance Technology Platforms.
  • In partnership with the Legal and Compliance Business Owners define digital strategy and roadmap for platforms and functionality in scope.
  • Fulfill all Business Analysis required for new requirements.  This may include ideas and concepts which are still in the evaluation / approval process. This activity typically involves close partnership with Legal and Compliance leadership.
  • Define functionality-specific solution architecture when required.
  • Remain up to date on all Legal and Compliance product developments and evaluate those which may be most beneficial to FME.  The scope extends beyond the functionality that is delivered in periodic releases by vendors.  Implement new functionality when appropriate and upon approval.
  • Ensure all system changes, including configuration, are completed according to approved requirements and all documentation and signoff requirements are fulfilled.
  • Fulfill all testing and quality assurance requirements for all systems changes, in collaboration with Testing Managers and Project Managers.

This position requires approximately 5% to 10% travel.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Global Legal and Compliance technology management and support experience, 10+ years of experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of implementing and supporting Legal and Compliance technology experience in a production environment.  5+ years of experience preferred. 
  • Experience in supporting a Global Legal and Compliance Technology production environment across 50+ countries and 100,000+ employee population base.
  • Legal/Compliance functional experience.  10+ years of experience working in a Legal/Compliance organization or serving in a Legal/Compliance functional role or supporting a Legal/Compliance organization.
  • Track record for being able bridge gap between Legal and Compliance business needs and technology solutions by leveraging system expertise and applying creativity and perseverance. 
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.  Continually demonstrates a passion for the well-being of our employees and customers.  Knowledge of our employees’ and managers’ Legal and Compliance requirements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Approaches all new challenges and requirements from a process and operational efficiency mindset.
