Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works Refund Reports timely, accurately, and thoroughly and performs conveyances as needed.
  • Creates reports for Accounting Coordinator with lists of refunds to both insurances and patients.
  • Works the monthly report from One Oncology showing a list of outstanding refund checks for follow up.
  • Assists Accounting Coordinator with ordering office supplies as needed for area.
  • Order flowers for staff at all six locations.
  • Assists Site Coordinator and Administration with other duties as assigned.
  • Attends staff meetings.
  • Handles high level of stress.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  High School education or equivalent.

Experience:  Prefer three (3) years medical experience.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type correspondence.

SKILLS:

  • Skill in using computer programs and applications.
  • Skill in using calculator.

ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
