Position Summary

10-week summer internship program (full time 40 hrs./week) for undergraduate students enrolled in an academic program for Fall of 2023 with a demonstrated interest in pursuing career or academic interests in life sciences. The internship will run from June through August (start and end date TBD) and will culminate in a presentation (TBD; virtual or in-person presentations or poster session) based on the findings of the project. In addition to project work additional supporting activities will be included, e.g., social and networking events/panel discussion, senior leader presentations and laboratory tours.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) software tools for PK/PD analysis.

• Apply developed tools for the preparation of dataset for predictive modeling.

• Build algorithms for meta-data validation and records cleaning.

• Perform statistical analysis and develop methods for abnormality detection.

• Explore structure – property relationship models for the internal/external datasets.

• Develop automation for advanced reporting including generative AI system application.

Qualifications & Experience

This position is ideal for bioinformatics, cheminformatics or computer science students. Participation in this project will teach intern advanced data management systems, methodology of information management, provide exposure to modern software development paradigms, develop proficiency with Python, VBA and JavaScript programming languages, learn basics of PK/PD analysis, introduce to generative AI algorithms.
