The Senior FP&A Accounting Lead will have opportunity to support our reporting for Oil & Gas and Marine Division. This role will partner with the Senior Accounting Manager to help deliver consolidated forecast and actual results to the division Senior Vice President and Vice Presidents.  This role will also drive standardized reporting through process improvements built in Axiom and Power BI partnering with change management where applicable and ensuring reporting governance aligns with overall goals. This position will work closely with senior leadership across all functions of the Oil and Gas Marine Division to drive deadlines and ensure deliverables are being met.

What you will do:

  • Analyze actual and forecast results for Oil and Gas Marine Division.
  • Complete pricing and mix analysis at a consolidated division level.
  • Collecting and reporting order coverage to division Senior Vice President and Vice Presidents.
  • Coordinate monthly accounting review of legal documents for the division with report outs to the division Senior Vice President and Vice Presidents.
  • Establish forecast and monthly closing deadlines to ensure deliverables are being met for division reporting.
  • Perform complex accounting functions which support the business unit or corporate decision making on highly complex or broad business issues.
  • Produce standardized reporting and serve as liaison between business units.
  • Divisional Lead and E&T Liaison for OneStream implementation

What You Have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Experience with Power BI and/or Alteryx (Axiom)

  • This position will be located in our Houston, TX office
  • This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
