About the Role
Assist theatre staff to transport patients within the Operating Suite from Reception and Day Stay Unit to the appropriate Theatre, Recovery, and Reception for discharge.
Assist with preparations of the Operating Room table and its attachments for varying surgical procedures.
Ensure adequate equipment is present for each Operating Room.
Work with the Nurse Managers and colleagues to provide optimal service to all customers, including patients, VMOs, and nursing staff.
Participate in the Surgical Services Department and hospital staff meetings and education programs.
Continuously update knowledge in new treatments, practices, and equipment to ensure the delivery of the highest standard of care.
Adhere to all policies, procedures, and legislative requirements in relation to Workplace Health & Safety, Bullying & Harassment in the Workplace Policy.
Comply with the requirements of the WH&S Act and all relevant WHS, and injury management policies and procedures.
About You
Previous hospital or Operating Room experience.
A commitment to attending conferences and lectures as identified as requirements for this position.
Knowledge of the Department of Health Guidelines and Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety, Infection Control and their impact on the delivery of care.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
