Product Manager (Print Supplies)

Description -

Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Supplies product expert on the Product Management Team with strong knowledge of the customer and competition.
  • Drive the definition of future products through R&D and solutions teams.
  • Define and align product details and go to market deliverables in support of product introduction.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional, cross-organizational teams and agencies in the development and execution of introduction plans.
  • Apply analytical thinking and perform complex business modeling to drive business recommendations
  • Set plan-of-record assumptions used in financial modeling and forecasting
  • Assists the development of marketing, messaging, and sales training materials to aid in sales efforts to end users and partners.
  • Analyze product performance and business drivers to influence future product strategies/ roadmaps/platforms/SKUs.
  • Conduct competitive price benchmarking and analysis to set pricing strategy for optimal business results
  • Collaborate with international partners
  • Engages in initiatives and projects that cross business functions and organizations within HP, influencing up through executive level management
  • Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships
  • Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently.

Education and Experience Required

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in product marketing, product design, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
