Analyze data available in relational databases from different source systems and identify any inaccuracies or limitations when developing analytical solutions. Develop cross functional analytics projects from end to end, including problem definition, requirements gathering, data exploration and manipulation, feature engineering, modeling, testing/validation, and implementation/delivery.

* Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, Inc. office in Raleigh, NC.
 

What You Will Do:

  • Build relationships with company teams and stakeholders, framing and structuring questions, collecting and analyzing data, and summarizing and presenting key insights in support of decision making.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and other analytics teams across the company to identify opportunities to leverage company data to support business needs.
  • Determine relationships between source system data and join tables together to develop analyst-ready data sets used for dashboard or model development.
  • Use quantitative and statistical methods to understand underlying trends in data and use statistical forecasting methods to forecast future outcomes.
  • Develop automation in extracting data and summarize the findings to business stakeholders to analyze trends and outliers in financial business processes.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to graphically represent data surrounding different financial projects that efficiently enable decision making.
  • Translate analytical and technical concepts to business stakeholders and senior leadership in verbal, visual and written format to enable better decision making.
  • Present data and visualizations in meetings to both internal team members and external team stakeholder groups within the company.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
  • Must have three (3) years of experience with: SQL programming; Tableau dashboard development; Python programming; Data Visualization; and Relational Database systems.
  • Must have two (2) years of experience with: Agile methodology; Statistical modeling and forecasting; JIRA; and Gitlab or other version control systems.

The salary range for this position is $111,260 - $183,580. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
