Summary: We are in search of a dynamic payments strategist to join our innovative Vertical Market Solutions team. Reporting directly to the VP, Vertical Market Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in growing Onbe's Incentive, Payout, and Compensation solutions into new verticals through strategic insights and cross-departmental collaboration. This role is a hybrid role that will work onsite 1-2 days per week at our Conshohocken, PA location. Occasional travel may be required as part of this position. #LinkedIn-Hybrid

Responsibilities:

  • Clarify and build on Onbe’s existing solutions by defining ideal current and future state, crafting a unified language around investment priorities and actionable strategies.
  • Actively lead the solution P&L, ensuring effective penetration and adoption across customer and prospect bases.
  • Lead the exploration of new use cases by thoroughly understanding user needs and experiences, demonstrating how Onbe’s solutions can deliver value in high-impact verticals.
  • Initiate and guide comprehensive research within focus verticals to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes, further advising strategic positioning and partnering with teams across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Solutions, Legal/Compliance, Delivery, and FinOps) to refine product constructs, value propositions, and positioning, contributing to cohesive go-to-market playbooks.
  • Develop a point of view on risk-based approaches based on the competitive landscape and market dynamics.
  • Provide market context and data-driven insights to influence the product roadmap and develop segment-specific positioning and messaging, submit ideas for high-impact candidate initiatives and maintain long-term solution roadmaps.
  • Partner with Sales to identify and design high-potential partnerships and channel strategies to support growth in focus verticals.
  • Develop flexible pricing strategies in partnership with the Pricing team, while reporting on strategic critical metrics to supervise vertical performance trends.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in sales, product, business strategy, or customer-facing roles, ideally in payments or FinTech.
  • Consistent track record in identifying new growth opportunities and vertical expansion.
  • Strong blend of technical and eye for business, capable of navigating discussions across various levels of an organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.

The base salary range for this position is between $147,600 to $172,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand.
