Job Description

The Asia Pacific Fixed Income Team is looking for an intern to join our team in Singapore. This internship is an immersive placement working alongside our investment team to generate real and tangible investment outcomes as part of a global asset manager, while gaining a more holistic insight into the fund management industry. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across borders with investment professionals across the organisation.

Roles and Responsibilities

This role reports into the Head of Asian Credit.  The successful candidate will play an active role in contributing to the investment outcomes and management of the Asian Fixed Income portfolios, working closely with analysts and portfolio managers in undertaking fundamental research of Asian corporates and sovereigns. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to assist in tasks including portfolio analysis and risk management, to gain an insight into the way portfolios are managed. The role holder will be responsible for supporting working committees whilst capitalising on development opportunities inherent with working alongside peers and senior colleagues.

Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for motivated candidates with the following attributes:

  • Excellent academic background in an appropriate field with good knowledge of financial markets

  • Inquisitive mindset combined with the ability to bring fresh opinions and an eagerness to apply those to financial markets using strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Energetic, driven and passionate to be an investment professional as a career

  • Strong team player, with a desire to encourage and collaborate – candidates should have excellent communications skills to support working with a broad range of stakeholders

  • Ability to converse fluently in an Asian language being a plus
