Coastal Care Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in beautiful Halifax is hiring for a Small Animal DVM to join our Internal Medicine department in the role of Clinical Associate. Veterinarians interested in a residency or other further training are encouraged to apply. 
 
The successful candidate will work primarily under the direction of Board-Certified Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Susan Carr, although extensive collaboration with our other Specialists is anticipated. The rotating four-week schedule will include:
-              two weeks of directly supervised work, seeing patients under supervision of Dr Carr and learning to perform medicine procedures such as endoscopy
-              one week of indirectly supervised work, with primary responsibilities including recheck patients and working with our radiology department to facilitate and practice certain diagnostics such as abdominal ultrasounds, FNAs, and CT scans
-              one week gaining critical care experience with our Criticalists. You will also obtain experience working with our chemotherapy patients
 
All shifts are M-F with no expectation of on-call duties.
