We offer a role as Process & HSE Engineer, who will be based in Aliaxis Fiesso Umbertiano (RO) and report to the Manufacturing director of the site.

This figure will be in charge of supporting the deployment of the operational excellence program plant wide and the suite of OpEx tools at plant level. The candidate will also have responsibility to Promote, support and coordinate the implementation of the HSE system.

The Key Responsibilities can be summarized as follows:

  • Support the implementation and ensure organisational standards for management for Health and Safety ISO 450001, ISO14001 and Corporate Policy.
  • Deploy and participates in Gemba walks and coaching employees on 5S / standard work / visual management development/modification/adherence, M.D.I., continuous improvement, flow, and problem solving and other lean methods, techniques and processes.
  • Support planning, execution and sustainment of Kaizen and Lean manufacturing related events with in value stream team(s).
  • Track and report program progress and communicate with plant leadership.
  • Prepare reports to be shared with plant leadership.
  • Support the optimization of processes and facility conforming to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Support the definition of the technical specifications to achieve and improve production: cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes.
  • Conducts analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root-cause analyses.  

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Engineering background is required. Mechanical or Management Engineering degrees are preferred.
  • Experience of at least 2 year in a similar role.
  • Training and certification as ASPP is required.
  • Good knowledge of TU81, D.Lgs 152, ISO45000, ISO 14000 and SGA.
  • An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Good written and spoken English knowledge is required.
  • Knowledge of Lean Principles, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement approach are a plus.
  • Strong project management skills (and knowing how to expose them). Project management experience is considered a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage autonomously the various main activities and projects.
  • Good ability to manage cross functionally with direct and indirect influence.
  • Good problem solving approach.
