We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Events Specialist to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of all global events for our company. This role will be responsible for delivering exceptional event experiences that elevate brand visibility, drive lead generation, and engage key stakeholders across multiple regions. The role will report to the Sr Director of Commercial Marketing and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align events with strategic business goals and ensure consistency in messaging and quality across all markets.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Event Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive global event strategy that includes tradeshows, conferences, and customer events. Ensure alignment with overall marketing and business objectives. 
  • Event Management: Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including site selection, contract negotiation, budget management, vendor coordination, and on-site execution. Ensure smooth and efficient operations across global markets. 
  • Brand Representation: Ensure consistent brand messaging, visuals, and experience across all global events. Work closely with the marketing and design teams to develop impactful booth designs, promotional materials, and event content. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, product, and regional marketing teams to tailor event strategies and experiences to meet regional needs and drive customer engagement. 
  • Budget Management: Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors and venues, and ensure events are executed within allocated resources while delivering high-quality experiences. 
  • Lead Generation & ROI Analysis: Track event performance and metrics, including lead generation, engagement, and ROI. Provide post-event reports and recommend strategies for continuous improvement. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, external partners, sponsors, and event organizers to maximize event impact. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in managing large-scale global events, preferably in a fast-paced startup or technology environment
  • Proven track record in end-to-end event planning, logistics, and execution, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams
  • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities
  • Experience with event management software and tools
  • Understanding of digital and virtual event platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in measuring event performance and ROI
  • Experience with planning events for healthcare/biotech/pharma/diagnostics companies

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel globally and work flexible hours to accommodate global time zones
  • Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 20 pounds

Location:

  • Remote – San Diego based preferred

Travel: 

  • Domestic travel up to 40%

Job Type:

  • Full-time/Exempt

Base Compensation Pay Range:

  • $105,000 - $137,000



In addition to base compensation noted above, you will be eligible for stock options, discretionary annual bonus, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off. 

 

Please note: Base compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
