About the team

We are a seasoned team of Networking Automation Engineers dedicated to automating and conducting networking tests for Roku streaming products. Our team collaborates closely with Software Developers to comprehend test requirements and deploy scalable automation solutions that enhance test efficiency. 


About the role

We are currently seeking an Automation Engineer to join our Automation group within the Networking team, focusing on Networking tests. Reporting to the Manager of the Automation group, you will collaborate closely with our Software Developers to support automation testbed setup, debug and identify automation and testbed issues, and automate/fix automation test cases. 

 

What you will be doing

  • Set up and maintain Wi-Fi/Networking automation.
  • Execute Wi-Fi/Networking automation and triage issues found.
  • Initially, you will fix or modify predefined scripts, but over time, you'll work on writing scripts from scratch.
  • Work closely with engineering-level teams to review existing documentation and test cases. 
  • Attend weekly meetings to update project status and review bugs.  

 

We’re excited if you have

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Strong programming skills with Python  
  • Have good knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and ARP. 
  • Experience in testing or automation of Wi-Fi/BLE products is a plus 
  • Analytical mindset, project management-oriented, deadline-driven, and process-oriented with a solutions-oriented composition. 
  • Possess curiosity, motivation, and a strong interest in networking/Wi-Fi/BLE technologies in the industry.
