Position Summary

As the Distribution Center Operations Supervisor , you will be responsible for leading a team of 18+ non-exempt employees in CVS Health’s state of the art distribution facility. This includes planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area to achieve performance goals and metrics within the distribution center.

Additionally, you will be responsible for order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping of store orders. You are also responsible for maintaining a high level of productivity and quality.

Selected candidate will need to have flexibility with hours. Core working hours is 3:00pmCST up to 2:30amCST.

Additional responsibilities include:
 

  • Schedule and assign work to employees. Provide the necessary equipment, materials, and documents to ensure successful completion of tasks.

  • Determine proper staffing levels within the functional area based on the volume and type of work to be completed daily.

  • Maintain a balanced workload by taking readings throughout the day, and by readjusting the staffing levels, as necessary, to achieve the appropriate level of volume by the projected time of completion.

  • Monitor the work performance of each employee to ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded. Provide ongoing training/retraining of employees to ensure that they are prepared to meet or exceed the productivity standards for their function.

  • Possess the ability to utilize a variety of reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the workday.

  • Administer policies/procedures in a fair and consistent manner. Professionally address issues with employees utilizing the proper resources.

  • Hiring, on-boarding, training, scheduling, and assigning work to new hires

  • Providing ongoing training and retraining of employees to ensure that they are prepared to meet or exceed the productivity standards for their function

  • Communicate effectively across all levels

  • Build high-performance teams while engaging and inspiring colleagues

  • Champion Safety by maintaining a safe and clean work environment



Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of prior supervisory experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment

  • Warehouse Management Systems experience



Preferred Qualifications
Compliance, DEA or regulatory background

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.

  • Ability to analyze information effectively and consistently.

  • Ability to complete assignments within established timelines.

  • Ability to complete work under general supervision.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency preferred.

  • Bachelors degree



Education

  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $93,574.80

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
