We are searching for the best talent for Experienced Warehouse Analyst.

Purpose:

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead, the Experienced Analyst will be responsible for end-to-end inventory management, including receiving, storage, coordination of cycle counts, repackaging, issuance of materials and products, and audits, as well as the administration of the site’s outbound shipments (local and international). As part of the start-up of the new site, this role will be key in supporting the development, implementation, and standardization of operating procedures related to inbound and outbound activities. They will also work closely with the Warehouse Team Lead on team leadership initiatives, training, development, and continuous improvement. The role also includes monitoring and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing support to the systems used by the warehouse team.

Additionally, the Experienced Analyst will work together with the Warehouse Team Lead on the configuration of the new ERP system and associated documentation, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of warehouse flows, processes, and operations. They actively contribute to the implementation of projects, programs, and processes that support the organization’s Materials Handling strategy. Applies practical knowledge in the area to ensure the timely availability of materials and supplies required for company operations.

This position will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant storage and movement of Raw Materials (RM), Work in Process (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG), in alignment with Free Trade Zone (FTZ) regulatory requirements and Johnson & Johnson internal standards.

Organizational Interfaces

All departments and personnel within Johnson & Johnson MedTech Costa Rica as applicable, as well as suppliers and Logistics Deliver 3PL (Third-Party Service Providers).

You will be responsible for:

In compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and Johnson & Johnson procedures, this role includes:

  • Receiving, Storage & Distribution Operations
  • Receiving Raw Materials (RM), Work in Process (WIP), Finished Goods (FG), and chemicals.
  • Supervising and ensuring proper storage of incoming materials to guarantee efficient and timely retrieval.
  • Managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to Manufacturing and other areas in accordance with GMP and J&J guidelines.
  • Safely handling and storing hazardous materials.
  • Managing purchase orders to external suppliers, unloading deliveries, and administering goods-receipt documentation.
  • Inventory Control & Data Accuracy
  • Coordinating Cycle Counts, reconciling discrepancies, and controlling inventory levels.
  • Ensuring 100% accuracy in documentation and ERP system transactions.
  • Conducting daily/weekly inspections of equipment and critical areas following SOPs.
  • Monitoring and analyzing departmental KPIs.
  • Dispatch & Distribution
  • Coordinating dispatch of Finished Goods, Raw Materials, WIP, and miscellaneous items.
  • Analyzing material flow and transportation methods to meet customer delivery timelines.
  • Evaluating processes, systems, and capabilities to improve warehouse and distribution efficiency.

  • Maintaining high standards of Safety, Quality, Accuracy, and Good Storage Practices.
  • Ensuring environmental, health, and safety compliance to minimize operational impact.

  • Collecting and reviewing budgetary data aligned with financial objectives and preventing excessive spending.
  • Proactively identifying and escalating warehouse/distribution issues for resolution and containment.
  • Completing all documentation and system activities daily with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Providing flexible support across warehouse functions to ensure operational continuity.
  • Performing other duties as assigned based on business needs.
  • Technical Knowledge & Skills
  • Expert proficiency with ERP systems related to warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of SOPs, GMP, hazardous materials handling, and relevant regulations.
  • Competence in operating material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, stackers, etc.)

Qualifications / Requirements:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • 2 years of prior experience in Warehouse/Materials Handling within a multinational, high-velocity environment.
  • University Bachelor’s degree in in a field related to the position
  • Computing: Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP/SAP EWM or similar (JDE, Oracle, WMS, IM, etc.), and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in the medical/pharmaceutical sector.
  • Experience working in a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in Costa Rica.
  • Language: Spanish and Advanced/Bilingual English.

Desirable

  • IPICS/APICS
  • PIV Certified
  • Technician or Technologist in Logistics, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain or related areas.
  • Diploma or Certification in Supply Chain Management.
  • Technical courses in Logistics operations (Inventories, Distribution, Transportation, Materials Planning).

  • Mastery of ERP systems and understanding of essential warehouse processes, inventories, safety, and compliance.
