Senior CAD/CAFM Specialist – JLL
What this job involves:
The Senior CAD/CAFM Specialist is a versatile technical leader who combines deep expertise in CAD and computer-aided facilities management with strong project leadership capabilities. In this hybrid role, you'll independently manage complex CAD/CAFM functions while leading project teams and engaging directly with clients to deliver exceptional account support. You'll serve as the go-to expert for advanced technical troubleshooting, develop innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency, and establish standards that elevate service quality across the team. This position offers the opportunity to mentor junior analysts, shape process improvements using cutting-edge technical solutions, and make a meaningful impact on how JLL delivers workplace data and facilities management services to enterprise clients. If you thrive on solving complex technical challenges and leading teams to success, this role provides an exciting platform for professional growth and innovation.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Execute and lead complex CAD/CAFM projects independently or as team lead, applying comprehensive knowledge of CAD, CAFM, and space standards (BOMA, FICM, and other industry practices) while performing advanced QA/QC to ensure adherence to standards and procedures
Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues including Level 2 and Level 3 CAD/CAFM challenges such as AutoCAD graphics problems, data quality issues, AutoCAD-to-IWMS integration failures, and IWMS space technical complications using independent judgment and analytical problem-solving
Support account and project management activities through weekly and monthly status reporting, performance tracking, preparing meeting notes, conducting client training sessions on IWMS or Autodesk products, and assisting with project setup and client kick-off activities
Drive process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, developing technical solutions (e.g., LISP routines, IWMS enhancements, advanced AutoDesk tools), and creating comprehensive process documentation including SOPs and client standards
Provide mentorship and guidance to P1 and P2 analysts, new hires, and peers on advanced CAD/CAFM skills, influencing delivery quality and standards through knowledge sharing and skill development support
Engage with stakeholders and clients by building working relationships within the business sub-segment, coordinating activities at account level, supporting client escalations, and communicating progress, risks, and recommendations effectively to leadership
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, CAD, Facilities Management, or related field, OR 5+ years of experience in a related technical field
Direct and relevant experience in CAD/CAFM, workplace data management, or facilities operations with proven ability to handle complex technical challenges independently
Advanced English communication skills with ability to prepare documentation, deliver training, and engage effectively with clients and stakeholders at various levels
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and CAD/CAFM systems within a Corporate Real Estate environment, including troubleshooting graphics issues, data integration, and system configuration
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret complex issues, analyze solutions, and make independent decisions within project guidelines while recommending exceptions when justified
Experience leading project teams with ability to coordinate resources (reporting or non-reporting), manage deliverables, and guide teams to successful project completion
Comprehensive knowledge of space standards including BOMA, FICM, and other industry practices with ability to apply standards across diverse client environments
Technical innovation capabilities including development of LISP routines, custom AutoCAD scripts, or IWMS enhancements to improve workflows and operational efficiency
IWMS platform expertise with hands-on experience in system configuration, data integration, troubleshooting, and training delivery for enterprise facilities management platforms
Process documentation and standardization experience including development of SOPs, client-specific standards, playbooks, and training materials for CAD/CAFM operations
Flexibility to accommodate meeting schedules across multiple time zones to support global team collaboration and client engagement
