Job Description

Oversee and lead day to day site operations and staff for a bitcoin mining datacenter. Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders. Ensure a high level of miner uptime while efficiently managing costs. The Site Manager must be evenly balanced with operations, technical, and management expertise. Familiarity with networking, computer/server operations, and facilities maintenance, is needed. Will need to have previous experience managing people and assigning tasks. Bitcoin mining or traditional computer datacenter experience is a huge plus.

YOUR TASKS:

  • Oversee daily bitcoin mining operations

  • Ensure the mining operation is running smoothly and optimize asic uptimes

  • Coordinate facilities and infrastructure maintenance with the appropriate vendors and the Director of Infrastructure Engineering

  • Oversee the timely repair of mining rigs and ensure spare parts and spare mining rig inventories are at adequate levels

  • Monitor site operations for problems and use appropriate systems and applications for dashboards and monitoring

  • Support new construction activities and site expansion as needed

  • Ensure operational readiness of the site at all times

  • Coordinate employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage

  • Enforce all workplace policies and procedures

  • Coordinate training and professional development activities for employees

  • Conduct staff performance reviews

  • Good communicator acting as a conduit for information flow

  • Maintain and adhere to departmental budget and goals

  • Work with the regional Project Manager for site development and operations

  • Address and report safety concerns in a timely manner

  • Track and monitors project progress, adhering to standards

  • Ensure compliance across the worksite

  • Develop/manage onsite staff for success

  • Mediate on-site conflicts

  • Prepare and submits progress reports as needed


YOUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma required, associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or vocational school or four-year degree preferred

  • 5 -7 years experience in a relevant industry and position in a data center facility, a construction environment, or project-based work site

  • Project focused and adaptable to changing input

  • Ability to think outside of the box and adapt to site needs

  • Familiarity with developing a Site Safety plan

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule (nights and weekends, as needed)

  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful

  • MS Office Suite and understanding of MS Windows OS

  • Networking and IT principles or skillsets are highly preferred

  • Ability to be flexible and promote positivity within the workforce even (and especially) in adverse conditions
