About the opportunity

Northspyre is looking for a strategic and results-driven Director of Business Development to join our fast-growing, venture-backed start-up team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, forging key partnerships, and expanding our client base. As a leader in our organization, you will guide and mentor a team of Business Development Associates, setting goals, implementing strategies, and ensuring exceptional performance. This is an opportunity to make a huge impact at a start-up disrupting the $2 trillion dollar real estate industry.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
  • Work closely with our recruiting team to ensure our BDA internship program is running smoothly and that the team is fully staffed at all times.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Business Development Associates, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to drive performance excellence.  This team has an inbound only function as well as Outbound.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and forecasts on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends to senior management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Customer Success teams to align sales strategies with company objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market trends to inform future strategies and initiatives.
  • Align with territory pods to drive prioritization of target accounts and that pipeline building objectives are being met.
  • Own the BDA playbook, regularly revisit to ensure targeting, process, and messaging is effective and meeting Northspyre’s objectives.

We are looking for people who have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in B2B sales, with a proven track record of exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.
  • 3 years of experience in leadership or management roles, preferably in a startup environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • A tech first approach:  experience and mastery with prospecting tools including Zoom Info, 6Sense, Salesloft / Outreach, and CRM (Salesforce / Hubspot).  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
