About you and this role - What you would do in this role
Under the general direction of the Regional Health Director and within the general framework of Dow’s Occupational Health, Operating Discipline and Clinical Guidelines, this role will provide clinical care services, case management, fitness for duty, health assessment, occupational surveillance service and general preventive health services to employees in ZJG site to meet regulatory and company requirement, as well as business need.
Responsibilities – Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role.
As part of Medical Center clinical team to provide Clinical care service to workers in ZJG site
- Provide clinical assessment and interventions.
- Manage employees with chronical health conditions with treatment regime.
- Evaluate employees with work-related injuries and illnesses and/or personal medical conditions for their fitness for duty.
- Responsible for site emergency response.
- Provide travel health counseling and services.
Provide Case Management services
- As defined in the Occupational Health Operating Discipline, for work-related cases and identified personal cases.
- Obtain and review health and position information on a case, develop a specific plan for returning the employee to the highest level of job capability given the medical condition; and monitor, track and communicate progress.
Provide Health Assessment Program
- Work with clinical team to develop the specific Health Assessment Program plan for assigned employee groups by risk, according to Dow Occupational Health Operating Discipline and local regulation.
- Evaluate site chemical and physical agent hazards, exposure information and regulatory and Dow standards to determine the specific testing and frequency needed for employees in the group.
- Provide Health Assessment employee review and counseling.
- Create Health Assessment Program site Health Report.
Provide Preventive Health Services
- Deliver/coordinate health promotion and disease prevention interventions.
- Provide individual employee counseling, referral and follow-up.
- Deliver and/or promote health education/training programs to individuals and groups.
To join AP regional OH Expertise Team
- Participate in the development and implementation of Occupational Health operating discipline, programs and plans as assigned.
- Participate in or lead projects, teams and focal point roles either locally or regional related to important Dow occupational or environment health concerns.
Qualifications – Required education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves).
- 10+ years of working experience in medical science
- Active Medical license, general practitioner or internal medicine is preferred.
- Working experience in occupational health, corporate health management or international medical facility is preferred.
- Good communication skill, able to make clear and prompt communication to all relevant parties
- Fluent in English both oral and written
