We are an aspiring organisation, and we are looking for equally bold and creative Regulatory Affairs Engineer to join our established team. Nissan is positioned to become the most desirable Asian brand in Europe, and we need your help to get there.

Purpose

The regulatory affairs engineer will be part of Nissan’s technical affairs team based in Brussels, collecting regulatory information, interacting with authorities and stakeholders on a day-to-day basis, and sharing it across the Nissan organization.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain close relationships with key internal and external partners, including regulatory bodies and stakeholders.

  • Collect early insights into European and international regulatory trends, evaluate possible future requirements that will impact vehicle homologation, and effectively communicate it within Nissan R&D to facilitate product compliance.

  • Participate relevant meetings organized by the UN, EU, national governments, and industry associations.

  • The Regulatory Affairs Engineer will be assigned to work in the field of automated driving, connectivity/data, cyber security and general safety, and reports to the section manager.  

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in a relevant technical field. Prior regulatory working experience at a car manufacturing company/tier 1 supplier, type approval authority, and technical service will be an asset.

  • Ability to combine conceptual thinking and professional technique with a pragmatic approach.

  • Strong interest in automobile technologies.

  • Demonstrable working knowledge of EU policy making process as well as technical regulations for automated driving, connectivity, cyber security and general safety.

  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills (English) and ability to work as part of a team. Fluency in German will be an asset.

  • Willing to travel (up to 30% of the work time) is a necessity.
