What you will be doing:
The Principal, Strategic Collaboratives is a role that encompasses business development, revenue management, Collaborative operational management, strategic planning, and customer engagement activities. In this role, the Principal will manage the Population Health Management (PHM) Strategic Collaborative to meet and exceed member needs, contribute to the strategic direction, and augment business unit revenue, bookings, and profitability. The Principal will be responsible for generating new bookings of $800K - $2M annually, as well as overseeing annual revenue exceeding $8M. Success will be measured by PHM Collaborative-specific revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and program growth (# of participants). In the customer engagement part of the role, the Principal will oversee educational content, data/analytics engagement, and peer to peer networking opportunities. In this role, the Principal will have management responsibilities for 5-7 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
PHM Collaborative Leadership/Ownership – 80%
Provide strategic direction for the collaborative incorporating member feedback as appropriate
Engages cross-functional business units in the design, launch and maintenance of the Collaborative
Build strong, cohesive relationships with members and understand members’ strategic needs
Identifies members and external partners to serve in an advisory/expert panel for the Collaborative
Develops/oversees the development of materials for use in the Collaborative
Collaborates with team and members to develop thought leadership materials
Works with Sales, Field and Customer success for recruitment and retention of Collaborative participants, and ensure accuracy of information maintained in Salesforce
Maintains overall project management/oversight for the Collaborative
Drives business development processes, including proposal strategy, pricing, presentation, scoping, billing, and contract management; pull together the appropriate resources to support Collaborative sales strategies
Exhibits financial acumen and thorough oversight of Collaborative bookings, revenue, EBITDA, and renewal targets
Updates/collaborates with the Vice President and/or Group Vice President for overall Collaborative performance
Leadership and People Management – 20%
Provides managerial oversight for 5-7 direct reports
Demonstrates active leadership on business unit matters and actively participate in business unit leadership activities
Make decisions in accordance with fiduciary responsibilities
Ensures professional development and performance management occurs for direct reports which supports the next generation of business unit leadership
Embodies, communicates, and encourages Premier’s strategy, values, and culture
Motivates, mentors, and appropriately empowers employees; creates environment that stimulates new ideas and challenges existing thinking

Preferred Qualifications
Skills:
Proven expertise in the development and execution of large-scale Collaborative offerings, with demonstrated proficiency in selling to and account management for academic, tertiary, community, and rural hospitals/health systems
Documented experience in building and maintaining C-Suite relationships, which includes the evidence of effective communication skills, including sound demonstrated ability in presenting (in person and remote)
Demonstrated competency in the application of performance improvement tools to achieve impact/return and high levels of customer satisfaction
Extensive experience working in value-based care, from a provider or consultative perspective
Experience:
Nationally recognized leader for value-based care payment models and healthcare policy
Practical hospital/health system experience
Experience leading a remote, multidisciplinary team
Education:
Master’s Degree preferable
