Job Purpose:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) for Sandvik Mongolia Engineering Solutions (SMES), a South Gobi registered 100% Sandvik owned company, will serve as a strategic advisor to the leadership team of SMES.   SMES will have +200 employees working in remote locations and on rosters. HRBP will engage and support both Line managers and employees to pro-actively drive development and Sandvik culture and a growth mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR Strategy & Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted partner to business leaders, providing HR insights to support decision-making.
  • Align HR strategies with business goals to drive organizational success.
  • Identify workforce trends and propose solutions to enhance performance and engagement.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent in Mongolia.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to define workforce planning and recruitment needs.
  • Lead the onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition for new employees.

Learning & Development

  • Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to enhance employee competencies.
  • Support the development of leadership pipelines and succession planning.
  • Promote Sandvik’s learning culture through internal training and external partnerships.

Performance Management & Employee Engagement

  • Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and appraisals.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives to enhance motivation and productivity.
  • Support change management efforts to foster adaptability and business transformation.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Work with regional HR and finance teams to develop competitive compensation structures.
  • Ensure payroll processing and benefits administration are compliant with local regulations.
  • Monitor market trends to recommend compensation adjustments as needed.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience (preferably in a multinational or mining industry).
  • Strong knowledge of Mongolian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in talent management, employee relations, and workforce planning.
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage HR operations for a growing entity.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Mongolian.
