Project Role Description:
Design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements with a focus on Supply Chain Planning during ECC to S/4HANA migration, including APO transformation to S/4 embedded PP/DS and IBP solutions.

Good-to-Have Skills: SAP IBP, SAP PP/DS, SAP MM, SAP SD

Summary
As an Application Developer specializing in SAP SCM APO, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring SAP planning solutions to support demand planning, supply network planning, and production scheduling during ECC to S/4HANA migration.
You will play a key role in enabling optimized supply chain planning processes while supporting the transition from APO modules to S/4HANA embedded planning (PP/DS, aATP) and/or SAP IBP, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices and clean core principles.
Roles & Responsibilities
Work independently and develop expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP APO
Participate in fit-gap analysis and solution design for APO to S/4HANA / IBP migration
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate supply chain planning requirements into SAP solutions
Configure and implement end-to-end planning processes across APO modules
Manage core SAP APO processes including:
Demand Planning (DP)
Forecasting and demand sensing
Statistical models and forecast release
Supply planning and distribution planning
Heuristics and optimization runs
Detailed scheduling and sequencing
Capacity planning and constraint-based planning
Availability check and product allocation
Support supply chain planning and optimization processes across the landscape
Support data migration activities including mapping, CIF reconciliation, validation, and data consistency checks
Ensure transition from APO to:
S/4HANA embedded PP/DS
aATP
SAP IBP (where applicable)
Ensure integration with modules such as:
SAP MM (Procurement & Inventory)
SAP PP (Execution layer)
SAP SD (Demand fulfillment)
SAP EWM (Warehouse execution)
Work with technical teams on enhancements, interfaces, RICEF objects, and issue resolution
Perform unit testing, SIT, UAT support, defect analysis, and resolution
Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and clean core principles
Professional & Technical Skills
Must-Have Skills
Strong proficiency in SAP APO (DP, SNP, PP/DS, GATP)
Strong understanding of:
Demand planning and forecasting
Supply network planning
Production scheduling and sequencing
ATP and order promising concepts
Hands-on experience in:
CIF integration and master data handling (Product, Location, PDS)
Planning heuristics and optimizer configuration
Planning book and data view configuration
Experience in S/4HANA migration (Brownfield/Greenfield) or rollout projects
Knowledge of integration with:
SAP MM
SAP PP
SAP SD
SAP EWM
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Good-to-Have Skills
Knowledge of SAP IBP (Demand / Supply / Response Planning)
Exposure to S/4HANA embedded PP/DS and aATP
Basic understanding of ABAP/debugging
Experience in supply chain planning or manufacturing environments
Exposure to advanced planning optimization tools / algorithms
Additional Information
Experience in SAP S/4HANA planning environments preferred
SAP certification in APO / IBP / S/4HANA Supply Chain is an added advantage
Experience in global rollout / template-based implementations is beneficial
Exposure to large-scale transformation programs (like ECC to S/4 migration)
