This hands-on job is responsible for Managing all facets within the Device Care Center Repair Operations.  Including invasive and non-invasive methods.  This leader must be able to collaborate and work with other Leaders across shifts, department and sites.  Responsibilities includes ensuring effective operation by working with the supervisors to complete customer priorities based on demand schedules, assigning tasks/projects as needed, coordinating the flow of work, oversee completion of work, monitor key performance metrics (KPI), managing labor efficiency across the area of responsibility, mentor/coach leaders and manage headcount.  Must possess the ability to multitask, pay attention to details, have a good understanding of quality, inventory, and warehousing processes in a repair / manufacturing environment.

This is an onsite role in our Mt. Juliet TN facility.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Oversee operations and performance of repair operations within Device Care Center
  • In conjunction with engineering resources, develop all repair capabilities
  • Drive repair operations and customer experience metrics by motivating Repair Technicians, holding them accountable for performance and behaviors and providing targeted feedback as required
  • Develop repair team
  • Responsible for budget/expense management
  • Collaborate with Material departments leadership on parts management
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and process standards, while maintaining employee morale and overseeing the training of new and existing staff
  • Work with senior management to establish department and company goals and rely on experience, judgment, and innovation to achieve them
  • Develop and implement process improvements and coordinate new product introductions
  • Liaison between teams, shifts, functional areas, supervisors and departments, and partner with vendor/customer/client representatives
  • Collaborate with other Leaders within the site to monitor inventory level, materials, equipment, and the procurement of capital equipment as needed
  • Provide a clean, organized, and safe work environment for personnel to work in while ensuring all safety and environmental regulations are followed
  • Work with supervisor to ensure they are effectively managing their headcount and complete supervisory tasks which includes hiring, performing performance reviews and mentoring/coaching and disciplinary actions
  • Meet production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service level agreements, resolving problems, and identifying process improvements
  • Meet production financial standards by controlling and minimizing operation expenses
  • Drive engagement across area of responsibility and work with the leaders to review and address their peakon scores
  • Review Tableau reports to ensure that the team/dept is attaining the desired performance metrics
  • Follow up with the leaders on their areas of opportunity
  • Maintain flow of operations by communicating production status, requirements and problems to next shift
  • Manager responsibilities include driving /maintaining cost within the business guidelines for their area of ownership
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the operational goals and objectives

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 12 years in a leadership/manager position within a fast-paced manufacturing, industrial services, distribution or assembly environment; including 7 years in leading supervisors
  • Demonstrated experience with direct supervision and coaching of others
  • Must have experience working within a 5S, Lean, Six Sigma environment
  • Ability to identify potential process and workflow improvements
  • Strong math, reasoning, analysis, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to provide practical application of technical skills and techniques in wireless mobile device processing
  • Must have strong knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Excel and Word and familiarity with label printers and bar code scanners
  • Detailed oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have the ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel as well as external personnel
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must be available to work extra hours as needed
  • Experience managing an hourly workforce

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Associates Degree/Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or R2 certifications

Pay Range:

$71,300.00 - $119,100.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
