Frontend Developer

Summary:

As a Frontend Developer at Analog Devices, you will be building web applications using React/Next.js, CSS and Typescript with the goal of best-in-class design, usability, responsiveness, performance, and impact. You will be responsible for the technical realisation of web projects through hands-on development, quality-assurance, and prototyping. You will be working closely with our product managers, UX designers, visual designers, data scientists and cloud-native software engineers.  Project workload will be dynamic and constantly evolving to business needs so several concurrent developments will be the norm. You will be expected to multi-task and prioritise workloads while also architecting solid toolchains, frontend infrastructure and frameworks to enable efficient execution on projects and maintaining high standards of code and interface design.

What your day will look like:

• Brief daily meeting to sync with cross-functional team.
• Go off and work autonomously on your project, checking in with other team members throughout the day with questions and updates.
• You leave the code in a better state than when you found it.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribution of knowledge.
• Continuous integration and delivery.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience working as a Frontend Software Engineer.
• Demonstrable experience in a frontend framework like React.js (v18+), Next.js, Angular, or Vue.js including latest best practices.
  • And associated technologies like Redux, RxJS, Vite, Axios, etc
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Intermediate level knowledge of fundamentals JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5.
• Understanding of user-centred design, progressive enhancement and graceful degradation, accessibility, responsive design, and website performance.
• Comfortable developing data centric application that will integrate with Backend API integration using REST/GraphQL.
• Understanding of unit and integration testing.
• Proficiency with Git or other version control systems.
• Proficiency with Chrome Developer Tools.
• Proficiency with the command line.
• Advantage having experience in cloud deployment using GitHub Actions or similar
• Advantage having experience with SASS or another CSS preprocessor
