What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for:
- Support development and execution of patient-focused medical strategies that enhance the value proposition of Amgen's therapies including annual strategic planning and goal setting, launch support and lifecycle management, in collaboration with Medical TA Head, appropriate cross-functional teams and governance.
- Synthesize and integrate insights about Mexican healthcare ecosystem to deliver medical inputs into relevant cross-regional/functional strategies.
- Contribute to strategy development for scientific engagement across a broad range of customers to strengthen external understanding of the unmet need and value of the product.
- Establish and maintain professional and credible relationships with key thought leaders / external experts; this will involve participating in scientific meetings, round-table meetings, discussion forums, etc.
- Determine scientific/medical subject matter appropriateness of labels/regulatory/reimbursement/policy/promotional and medical results used to support internal/external interactions via appropriate review process.
- Understand the expectations of key external customers to support appropriate access to Amgen therapies.
- Foster Amgen‘s reputation as a science-based, innovative and patient-focused reliable partner.
- Ensure conduct of medical activities in full compliance of all laws, regulations and SOPs.
Minimum Requirements
- Doctorate degree and experience similar position in a biotech or pharmaceutical company Or
- Master’s degree and 3 years of experience similar position in a biotech or pharmaceutical company Or
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience similar position in a biotech or pharmaceutical company Or
- Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience similar position in a biotech or pharmaceutical company Or
- High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience similar position in a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish, both in written and verbal communication.
Preferred Requirements
- Cardio or Internal Medicine specialty highly preferred.
- Proven ability as a medical expert in a complex matrix environment.
- Sound scientific and clinical judgement.
- Familiarity of local pharmaceutical industry and legal/health system environment.
- Skilled at effectively communicating ideas and documenting sophisticated medical concepts in both written and oral communication.
- History of solving problems while exhibiting superior judgment and a balanced, realistic understanding of issues.
- Network and medical expertise in the healthcare ecosystem in Mexico highly desired.
- Project and relationship management experience.
