Internal Audit is responsible for providing independent assurance and guidance across all lines of business and team members are encouraged to think creatively, challenge current processes, build relationships, identify, and evaluate current and emerging risks, and hold themselves and teammates accountable in a flexible and delivery driven environment.

An Audit Data Analytics Senior Analyst provides support for audits by obtaining and analyzing data and providing insights on data trends and anomalies that help focus the scope of audit engagements, increase coverage of what is examined in engagements, automate audit testing, and visualizations of data through tools such as Alteryx, Python, and Tableau. This position provides periodic and ad-hoc reports of Internal Audit Department performance and status and support department leadership in developing new and existing reports that meet its needs and continually evaluates data driven auditing and reporting methods and processes with the goal of improving both. This position provides opportunities for growth and development within the organization. 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce, improve, and review analytics and models designed to achieve audit objectives.

  • Create meaningful insights utilizing data platforms and convey insights (i.e., through reports, or communications to leadership).

  • Work with auditors to define project goals, wrangle data, develop analytics, refine results, prepare documentation, and present to stakeholders.

  • Dynamically adapt to evolving needs including learning new tools and programming languages to provide the highest quality output.

  • Identify unusual trends or patterns in data to enhance audit effectiveness.

  • Develop, automate, and monitor performance metrics for Internal Audit that align to strategic objectives and are based on successful outcomes of departmental activities.

  • Support team objectives to drive for continuous improvement and technical growth within the team.

  • Apply statistical methods and modelling frameworks such as NLP, KNN, Random Forest, ARIMA, and RNN.

Qualifications:

•       3 + years' experience plus combined experience in an Audit, Data Science, and/or Analytics environment.

•        Bachelor’s degree in related field (Data Science, Computer Science, Accounting, MIS, Finance) required.

Technical Skills:

•        Experience using Excel as a reporting tool, including advanced functionality (ex. Index/Match, Named Ranges, Array Formulas) is required.

•        Experience with programming languages such as Python, VBA, SQL or R is required.

•        Data Analytics experience with tools such as Alteryx, DataIku, or Knime.

•        Experience with process automation using VBA or RPA tools such as UiPath.

•        Data Visualization experience with tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000USD to $110,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
